Georgia's BioBit
I am the first of five children. First born to three brothers and a sister. I was born in the Canal Zone, Panama and raised and educated in Virginia . Raised in a home where my parents shared their faith, and Godly values was foundational. To them I give thanks. My mother showed us how to pray, how to give and forgive. As a young adult, I began a personal, ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ as my Savior. I consider this a pivotal point in my life.
Raising a family was my focus but I still found ways to express my creativity. While my children were growing up, I was involved with many art or craft projects. Living on a wildlife refuge was the perfect environment to raise a family and pursue my gifting. I enjoyed the freedom of being able to play with the many mediums available in the art world so there was a clutter of raw materials everywhere as I discovered new and hidden talents.
I would make things to give away as gifts and in time, saw there was a market for the many things I generally took for granted. My horizons expanded as I entered into the retail market and grew into the wholesale industry. Immediately, I discovered the demand was larger than my capacity to produce enough products. I soon knew the meaning behind "Burning the candle at both ends". There was just not enough hours in one day to accomplish all that I had set out to do, alone. I loved that facet of time. I currently am working to build on a dream to go forward into a larger market. Today I have directed my energy towards a more strategic network.
There is a lot of life in this baby boomer and I have no intention of slowing down. Being visually minded, my perspective for the future is to express hope and encouragement to people in a colorful and creative way. A mural can change the atmosphere of a room. A decorative piece of art can change the focus of any room. After all, life is meant to be enjoyed ~ is it not?
Thank you...and remember to keep " Georgia 's" on your mind.
